On Sunday, October 4, we will be participating in the Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Virtual Hope Walks, benefiting the Mass General Cancer Center at Newton-Wellesley. This is deeply personal for us. Some of you may know – and many of you do not – that I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer right before Thanksgiving last year.
As a 43 year old mother of two young daughters, it was a shocking and terrifying diagnosis, though fortunately one with an excellent prognosis. We are eternally grateful for the wonderful care and support that I have received at the Mass General Cancer Center at Newton-Wellesley. The Center offers a wide range of programs and integrative support services including family counseling, post-op physical therapy, massage and survivorship classes so we can thrive once I complete treatment. There is still a long road ahead, but we have been blessed by our access to the programs, staff, and clinical care at Newton-Wellesley.
Please consider joining us and making a donation to our fundraising page or join Team Ginger Hammer and virtually walk with us. In recognition of your support, and our appreciation for the Center, we will match every dollar contributed by our friends and family.
Thank you for your support!
